My funniest moment at Fullerton occurred the week before school started in my freshman year. All of the students living in the residence halls moved in a week early to allow for us to settle in before school started. The weekend right before classes, I decided to go check out the laundry room. While in the laundry room, I noticed a guy doing some laundry. I remembered him so clearly simply because he was the only one in there.  The guy took off about two minutes after I had arrived.

About two minutes later I was done exploring the laundry room and decided to go home (my dorm). Deep in thought, I neglected to notice that I had turned into the wrong building. I also failed to notice that I had walked into the wrong apartment.

I did not realize all of this until the same guy that was in the laundry room greeted me halfway into the apartment.  He asked, "Um, can I help you?" For a second I thought, "dude, what’s this guy doing in our place?" and that’s when I realized what was going on. To make things better, I said "OMG, Sorry!" and ran off.  I didn’t speak to the guy for a very long time after that; I figured he always thought I was the stalker girl who followed him home from the laundry room.

I (like my good friend Rachael down there at the bottom of this page) LOVE CAL STATE FULLERTON!

One of my favorite memories (and there are a lot) was during All-Night Study a few years ago. I was working for ASI Productions, and it was really late at night, around 2 a.m., on the last night of All-Night Study (a Thursday). Some of my co-workers and I were in our office and we had a TON of snacks left over from the goody bags we would give out every night at midnight. But we especially had a ton of granola bars (I'm talking like... 300 bars extra). So two of my co-workers from ASI Productions and I loaded up our red wagon with granola bars and went all over the TSU giving students free granola bars to keep them energized to study for finals. The funniest ones were when we would give sleeping people granola bars with little post-it notes that said "Good luck on finals - Love, the granola fairies" and they would start to wake up, looking confused... so we would hurry up and drop off the stuff and run off. Sadly I don't think the granola fairies have continued after we all graduated... =)

I'm taken aback by the fun memories everyone has shared through Titanmag.com and the 50th Anniversary website!

The funniest memory I can recall was a rainy day in 1975. They had just "streaked" the Academy Awards and my fraternity brothers put the assignment on us. Four of us committed to streaking from the Alumni House (prior to the student union going in) to the bookstore (where the Marriott stands now).

We jumped out of a van off of State College and started jogging across the grass toward the Library. Wow! What a long way. By the time we made the turn toward the bookstore, we were exhausted.  We still had 200 yards to run. The thought went through our heads at the same time... I wonder if the van will be there waiting for us? Thank God it was, and thank God I wore a mask! How embarassing and how fun was that! Especially when I went to my next class and listened to those comments!

I remember walking through the campus on my way to my next class and I saw this girl walking in front of me.  I almost dropped to the ground, laughing hysterically.  I looked around in every direction to see if anyone else noticed and it didn't seem so: She had a skirt on, and the back of her skirt had lifted all the way up, exposing her right cheek.

It was a hot sunny day and I realized if I didn't say anything to her, she would get home and have a burned bum, because she obviously didn't feel a draft in the back.  I caught up to her and told her. She was mortified.

It never fails, does it?

The funniest moment of my CSUF experience was walking into the right room thinking I was in the wrong one, getting up to go to the wrong class and figuring out I had the right room all along. The worst part is that everyone knew what I had just experienced, and they smirked as they saw me walk right back into class 10 minutes later. I laughed that whole day and promised I would never do it again.

Now I check, recheck and check my schedule, the class number, and most importantly, if there are any signs on doors.

I never thought that college life could make me feel so embarassed and yet so relieved by realizing that it's OK to mess up once in awhile -- and most important, to laugh it off.

This occurred a few years ago.  The course is "Principles of Teaching Group Fitness", and this class was about developing choreography for cardiovascular training.  Everyone was doing well at about 30 minutes into the workout.  Students were learning quickly, the energy was great, but I couldn't help but notice some students were looking down at my legs and were smiling.  I was facing the class. It's usually it's eye-to-eye contact, but I just continued through the rest of the lesson.  At about the 40-minute mark, it was easy to see students were trying to conceal their laughter.  I couldn't figure out what was so funny.  I turned around to face the mirror, and what a surprise.  I stopped dead in my tracks and stared for a moment.  My hips were foaming.  There were bubbles everywhere.

Apparently, all of the detergent did not rinse out of my workout shorts in the washing machine.  I perspire a lot, and the combination of sweat plus hip flexing motions created lots of bubble action.  It took me a few moments to realize what was happening.  I'm surprised I didn't slip on the floor.  This never happened before.  We all had a pretty good laugh that day.  It was one of the funniest experiences I've ever had.  The following week, I told the class, "My workout clothes go through the rinse cycle twice now."

This is one of my funniest memories ever. It happened in the late 1990s.  My friend and I had gone off campus after class and had come back to campus to drop me off. It was late in the afternoon and my car was parked out by the baseball stadium (which I must say was empty by this time). Low and behold, we see members of the CSUF baseball team getting off practice and changing in the parking lot. It was the best sight ever. The funny part is we drove by once and then we drove by again to do a double take waving and laughing at them both times.

I don't think the team went to the College World Series that year.

I LOVE CAL STATE FULLERTON!

That is why I chose to make the most of my college experience by becomming a New Student Orientation Leader (for three years). The funniest moments occurred when we were preparing for, during, or after a program.

I will not name names, but one day while the new students and their families were in the Pavilions, I was sitting on the edge of the planter in the atrium of the TSU. One of my friends and co-workers joined me, but she decided to lay on the edge (which is pretty wide). After a few seconds from when she lay next to where I was sitting I heard a funny sound, like a quiet shriek. When I looked to my side I started laughing because my friend had rolled INTO the planter! There she was in the dirt, laughing almost as much as me. I love her, and she's still my friend, but that was a great moment!

Everytime I walk through the atrium and look at the planter, I smile and remember the good times I had for three summers working NSO.
