The College of Education is dedicated to preparing stellar educators who inspire,
teach, and lead future
generations.
We have granted over 8,000
credentials to teachers and school administrators in the last five years. The
college offers 50 credential, graduate and certificate programs. Our candidates
are trained to teach at Pre-K through college levels and to serve as
educational leaders.
Student teaching placements, coursework, and research opportunities provide
active and engaging learning opportunities for students. The College prepares professionals who improve student learning, promote
diversity, make informed decisions, engage in collaborative endeavors, maintain professional and ethical standards, and become change agents in their workplaces.
Our alumni are
honored and recognized teachers and leaders in both the immediate and global
community. More than 70% of the teachers in Orange County
are CSUF graduates. First year teachers prepared at CSUF are consistently rated above the average in
the Cal State System, and more than 90% say they would recommend our program to
others.
We encourage you to meet our future teachers and teacher
leaders at our annual Teacher Fair sponsored by the CSUF Career Center and to
visit our website for
further details about our programs.
Sincerely,
Claire C. Cavallaro
