What are On-Campus Interviews (OCI)?
OCI is an acronym for the On-Campus Interview Program. The OCI program provides high quality companies that primarily interview seniors for full-time positions and juniors for paid-internships without having to leave the campus. This is an excellent chance to explore career opportunities in the Southern California region.

Who is eligible to participate?
OCI is open to ALL currently enrolled CSUF students. Graduate students and alumni within 6 months of having graduated may participate at the employers' discretion. For internships, please check the OCI job posting for specifics on desired class level(s).
International students seeking employment in the U.S. should consult with the International Education & Exchange Office, UH 244 before participating in the program. Many OCI employment opportunities require that a student is eligible to work for any U.S. employer, without current or future visa sponsorship.
How do I get started?
- Attendance at an orientation session is required prior to participation in the on campus interview program (See Calendar for list of orientations). At the session you learn to navigate the on-line interviewing system and what are the important dates, deadlines, and requirements. Live orientation session dates are listed below.
- Have your resume reviewed at the Drive-Thru desk.
- Upload your resume on Titan Connection.
- Review the interview schedule, research company profiles, submit your resume to companies for consideration and sign-up for interviews.

Can I get resume help?
You can get your resume critiqued by a career counselor at our Drive-Thru advising desk. The Drive-Thru counselor can also help with uploading your resume.

What companies are conducting interviews this semester?
Click on "Jobs & Internships" and then click on "Titan Connection Jobs" to reach all of our job listings. To view all of the companies who are interviewing on campus, use the "Show Me" drop down menu in the shaded box, select "On Campus Interviews Only" and click on the Search button. If you want to just see the interviews you qualify for, select "Interviews I Qualify For".
Pre-select or Open What's the difference?
Pre-select allows you to submit a resume to an employer provided you meet the qualifications for the position. The employer will review all resumes received, and select the students to be interviewed.
Open allows you to go directly to the employer's schedule, pick an available time slot and sign up for an interview. Most interview schedules have a maximum of twelve interview slots per day. Anyone who meets the employer's requirements according to the posted position information may sign up for an interview.
When can I submit a resume and sign-up for an interview?
Each interview schedule has a specific resume submission and interview sign-up timeline. Please check regularly to avoid missing critical deadlines.
How do I know if I have been selected for a pre-select interview?
You must often check your email or your status via Titan Connection for notification of an interview invite. Once you receive this notification, sign-up through Titan Connection for your interview time slot immediately. Time slots are available on a first come-first served basis, the sooner you sign-up, the more time options you'll have.
Preparing for the Interview
Can I get help preparing for an interview?
- Attend a job search workshop. Available workshops are posted on www.fullerton.edu/career.
- Read the articles and "List of Sample Interview Questions" in our Job Search Guide. Printed copies of the Guide are available at the reception desk.
- Mock Interviews or Virtual Interviews are available to get you prepared.
- Research company websites. Links to company sites are available through the Employers button in the top menu bar of Titan Connection.
Where are the interviews and when should I arrive?
All OCI interviews are held in the Career Center, LH 208. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled interview time. Bring several copies of your resume and other materials to the interview.
What if I need to cancel an interview?
If you need to cancel an interview, you may do so on-line at least two working days prior to the interview. This will allow the alternates to sign up for your time slot.
Please contact Joanna Liu, Employer Relations Coordinator at 657.278.2035 if you must cancel after that time. Failure to do either of the above will result in forfeiture of your interviewing privileges for one year.
What if I miss a scheduled interview?
If you fail to keep a scheduled interview, please contact us as soon as possible to explain your absence. We require that you send a letter of explanation to the interviewer and a copy of that letter to Joanna Liu, Employer Relations Coordinator. You will need to contact Joanna Liu via email or call 657.278.2035 to obtain the name and contact information for the interviewer.
If we have not heard from you within one week of your missed interview, we will notify you via email that you have been made ineligible for any additional activity in the interviewing program until we receive a copy of your letter. Missing a second interview will result in loss of interviewing privileges.
What do I wear to the interview?
Professional attire is required in all interviewing situations including on-campus interviews. See Job Search Guide articles for information or ask at the walk-in advising desk, if clarification is needed.
After the Interview
When will I hear?
You may not hear anything until the end of the semester. Contact the employer directly for information on your status. Please report immediately to the Career Center any employer practices that your feel violates professional and ethical practices.
What should I do about my other interviews?
Once you accept a job offer, you have the professional and ethical obligation to cancel all other interviews and to notify any other employers with whom you have already interviewed.
Once a position has been accepted, it is unprofessional to continue to interview with employers. Reneging, or declining an offer that you have already accepted can have serious consequences for you as a professional, and reflects negatively on CSUF and its ethical principles.
