| Biography: |
Jamel K. Donnor, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Afro-Ethnic Studies at California State University, Fullerton. He is a former postdoctoral fellow at Washington University in St. Louis. He earned his doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His research interests include critical theories of race and inequality, schools and urban communities and African American student achievement. Dr. Donnor is currently working on a book manuscript entitled, "Programmed for Failure: Toward an Understanding of the Education of African American Football Student-Athletes."
Dr. Donnor is a recipient of the Bill Cosby Most Engaging Teaching Award at Cal State Fullerton and the Outstanding Post-Doctoral Fellow Award at Washington University in St. Louis. He has also been recognized as an Outstanding Teacher-Scholar by the Faculty Development Center (FDC) at California State University, Fullerton. |
